tell me now, tell me how

I dedicate this poem to the loved ones of the victims and to the survivors of the Uvalde school shooting and Stoneman Douglass tragedy

.

It vocalizes the emotions felt by survivors and affected loved ones after being affected by such tragedy.

This written piece goes hand-in-hand with the prior blog post: a digital painting. Be sure to check it out by clicking the BUTTON BELOW.

My favorite excerpt:

"how is it possible that thousands

today have waterfalls of tears

streaming down their faces

into rivers of salty fears

creeping into all sorts of places

[...]

tell me how I can sit hear writing'

about something that won't stop happening

[...]

shed similar tears

into that deep river

my lip and its quiver

tell me now

tell me how"
